Welcome to the first blog entry for Faultline Studios! We’ve been around for almost 3 years now and and have already helped artists create countless hours of professionally produced music, all at project studio rates. We are constantly improving our game, so let’s dig into what we are currently doing at the studio.
We’re almost finished installing a shipment of acoustic materials by Auralex. We’ve put up some diffusors for the live room and some absorbers for the sound lock – where we can isolate amplifiers but sometimes have to isolate unruly band members. You know what I’m talking about…
This week we’re recording the band Coudee, and sessions are pretty hush hush so I’m not sure what’s really going on in there…last I heard from an intern there was a lot of smoking and some banter that was apparently in Russian.
Megan S. is doing some vocal overdubs for a pop project started in San Diego at Capricorn Studios. She’s young, attractive, and got some pipes. Plus she’s working with producer Bryan Stratman so I’d say all the elements are in place for future stardom.
By the way, try and make it out for Pebble Theory’s CD Release Party at the exquisite Cafe Du Nord on Friday, June 26th. The album was mixed at Faultline Studios and is a delicious slice of pop, rock and soul. Monte Casino also recently finished their album at Faultline and is playing the Red Devil Lounge on June 17th.
Until next time…
